What Is A Meet & Greet?

Smart Paws requires a free Meet & Greet for all our new clients and their pets. Before setting up any pet sitting or dog walking services the Smart Paws team will schedule a visit to your home. You will have the opportunity to meet with us and go over your pet’s routines, feeding instructions, home care instructions, habits and more.

So how should you prepare for your Meet & Greet?

1. Complete your online profile using our online registration form or give us a call and we'll be happy to help you complete it over the phone.

2. If you haven't already scheduled a Meet and Greet with us, we will contact you to schedule one at a time that is convenient for you. You will receive an e-mail confirmation once the consultation is scheduled.

3. Please make sure to have 2 sets of house keys, a garage entry code or lockbox with your code ready for us. If you live in a building with a doorman you may choose to leave keys with them.

During the Meet and Greet we will introduce ourselves and get to know each other. Trust and personal relationships are what make the Smart Paws Family so special, and we want you and your pet to feel comfortable with us! We will review your pet’s feeding instructions, routines, walking route, location of toys and supplies, medications, and any special needs your pet has. All notes taken during the Meet & Greet will be uploaded to your online profile. We will review any home care needs such as newspapers/mail retrieval, indoor plant watering, trash instructions, etc. We are happy to include these services at no extra cost, just let us know what you need!

Finally, we will explain our scheduling system, policies and procedures, and answer any questions you have. After your Meet & Greet has ended you will receive an email with login instructions and you'll be ready to schedule your visits!
